All that glitters may not be gold, but that’s alright with me. While items with a bit of sparkle may be thought for special occasions, I think they work quite nicely worn casually as well. And besides, isn’t each and every day a special occasion?

Back to Basics 2: Another wardrobe essential

Essential – n. 1) absolutely necessary; indispensable 2) constituting the essence of a thing 3) central to the nature of something

A black pant has long been considered a wardrobe essential. But as basic as a black pant can be, the options are far from limited. In fact, simply calling them pants is a bit of an injustice.  They are what shrimp was to Bubba Gump.  There are wide leg, skinny leg, straight leg, flat front, pleated, cropped length, riding, harem, cargo, leather and oh yes, even leggings; though there are those who would contend those aren’t pants.

Every wardrobe should should have at least one good pair of black pants.  In fact, would it be a big surprise if I suggested, perhaps, one of each?
