Men in Heels…But Why?

Prince I understand, but admittedly I’m at a loss beyond that. Maybe someone can explain it to me…or not.

‘Madame Grès, La Couture à L’Oeuvre’
Madame Grès was the chosen name of Germaine Émilie Krebs (1903-1993). She launched her design house under the name Grès in Paris in 1942. Some of her work is currently on exhibit at the Musée Bourdelle in Paris. As these gowns suggest, she was formally trained as a sculptor. Considering that many of these gowns were created more than a half century ago, it’s amazing how stunningly timeless her aesthetic is. Her work is indeed art.

To Sell an Apartment, No Detail Is Too Small
An expensive shoe closet: worth every dollar. Michele Kleier of Gumley Haft Kleier has found that when buyers walk into a closet filled with Christian Louboutins, they are likely to pay more of a premium than what the seller spent on her shoe collection. She advises sellers, “You can buy 25 pairs of designer shoes, put them in your closet, and they’re going to get more than you spent on them.” That’s because, Ms. Kleier said, “people want to step into your life.”
Now, I don’t know about stepping into someone’s life. I like my life, and some folks have some real “is-shoes”; they know who they are. I wouldn’t want to walk a step in their “figurative” shoes much less a mile. That said though, their “literal” shoes — provided they are even remotely close to the right size — might be a consideration.
