Ralph Lauren / Polo Crewneck Sweater Project…

It’s the time of year here in the Midwest when we hit the basement and bring the fall/winter duds up…and I have an idea of how to improve this 100% “Lana Wool” (pure) Polo Sweater.  Well if not “improve” it…I definitely have an idea of how to make it more suitable and flattering on me!

Hopefully this will inspire some of you gents’ who have pieces that you wish you could “tweak” just a bit to be willing to wear them again to do so!

Think creatively and find a competent tailor/seamstress to make your desired improvements and/or adjustments and you’ll end up with a one of a kind (1 off) piece perfectly tailored to suit your needs!

Here are the before shots…

Well she’s in the shop so I’ll update you when she gets back all fixed up and ready to go!

Ralph Lauren…Naval/Military Vest (poppin’ tags)

As promised…an example of a very rare Ralph Lauren mens vest.  In all of my travels I hadn’t come across this particular vest before and then some time ago in _____________…Voila!  (I actually just deleted the locale and inserted the blank line!  I have already broken one of my cardinal rules by divulging my RL spots so you’ll have to seek and find on your own!)  As soon as I saw it I thought of my yellow rain wellies & matching rain hat…(sou’wester to be exact!)  I’ll show you the entire ensemble sometime in the future…anyway without any further ado…

…and paid just over $100.00 for it with the additional percentage off!!!  Although that’s more pricey than most of my “Poppin Tags” features it’s still a great niche buy at about 70% off of msrp!

Rene Descartes, a French philosopher, mathematician, and physicist, is perhaps best known for the statement,
“I think, therefore I am.”

I’ll see his quote and add another,
“I see, therefore I shop.”
