April Showers

Sunshine, blue sky, please go away,
I just bought new rain boots and I want to wear them today
With these boots I’ll look too cute, I hope clouds will amass real soon,
So day after day, I hold out hope for a near monsoon

I know to you it might sound strange,
But I wish it would rain
(Oh how I wish that it would rain, rain, rain, rain)

The Temptations have nothing on me; sing it with me now!!!

Recently I read an article that posed the question, “What does your handbag say about you?”  It suggested that a handbag is an absolute indicator of who a woman is and what her style is.  It went on to identify the following style categories:

The Eternal Prepster: She wears plaid and pearls, and of course, is practical

The Upwardly Mobile Do-Gooder: She is world and environmentally conscious, yet brand aware

The Lady Who Luxes: She’s a label “freak”, works but doesn’t need to, and wears the “it” heels

The Multitasker: She’s safe in her style of dress, but in a cute way;her bag allows for hands free

The Brooklyner: She has no worries about matching accessories; she’s both a participant in and an observer of style

The Power Mom: She likes labels but doesn’t need to show them; her bag must accommodate both her work and her life

The Pantsuit Executive: She wants to be taken seriously; her bag must accommodate a laptop

The Party Girl: She works hard, plays hard, but is young enough to still go out after work

The Early Adopter: She’s on the cutting edge; her bag isn’t functional, but she works it

The Hoarder: She can’t edit what’s in her bag and can’t find what she needs in it; she’s not a “haute mess”…just haute and messy

What do you think?  Do any of these categories “resemble” you?

Rene Descartes, a French philosopher, mathematician, and physicist, is perhaps best known for the statement,
“I think, therefore I am.”

I’ll see his quote and add another,
“I see, therefore I shop.”
