Staple - n 1) a necessary commodity for which demand is constant 2) used, needed, or enjoyed constantly

A white shirt is yet another wardrobe staple. In fact, it’s a wardrobe workhorse. I would contend that “shirt” includes everything from a crisp white dress shirt to a beautiful blouse to t-shirts as well. Paired with pants, jeans, shorts, or even a skirt - - casual or formal, a white shirt provides a canvas against which accessories can take you anywhere you need to go.
