Drop It Like It's Haute!

Late in the fall of 2011 I began to survey my fall/winter wares for the upcoming 2012 winter season and surmised that I had a couple of pair of black boots that would be better suited with a few black jackets…more specifically a “Black Puffer” jacket, coat, or vest which I had none of!?

So to google images I went…searching for the perfect compliment to my boot avails. I kept being “engaged” by the images of the “Moncler” brand black (& other color) puffers!!!  It was blatantly evident that there was just an “it factor” that separated them from about ALL the other puffers I was coming across! The richness and depth of the blacks, the shine and sheen on the jackets, and the “modern-slim-non-geeky” form factor of the “puff”!?…

So I began to search the reputable stockists only to find that these several offerings were attainable at an entry price of about $525.00 at the low end!!!  (Ruh-Roh!?!)  All of the major luxury “box” department stores were also offering them at these entry price levels!

So of course to ebay I went only to find a “plethora” of international sellers offering all kinds of “Monclur” goods for a little more than $150.00!?  You know what that means!  So with Red-Flags raised I began to continue to make a diligent search…(no I still have not purchased/acquired one!!! LOL)

But…on a 2011 trip to Chicago I had a few extra moments before my flight home and had time to peruse the infamous RUSH St in downtown.  Low and behold what do I find but a Moncler boutique!!!  (insert racing/pounding heart here)…

I couldn’t even get inside the store without being awestruck and stopped in my tracks!!!  I literally blindly reached for my phone to begin to snap a couple of pics for the blog!!! 

Yes…”She” was the head of the Welcome-In committee for the Moncler Boutique!  Really study her trappings which indeed are head to toe Moncler!!!

I honestly did the whole mouth wide open, slow 360 degree museum turn in the foyer!  There was sooooo much to take in with an UNBELIEVABLE amount of conspicuous attention to detail!!!  I didn’t know if I needed to go around the corner to US Bank and get an express loan real quick and come right back or ask for an application for propinquities sake!!!………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….Oh…ok…I’m back…whew…let’s see…yeah so, I have NEVER been in a boutique that was so uniquely and meticulously presented!!!  NEVER!!! No not once!!!

To me it made such a deliberate statement to some, and an indelible introduction to others of just who Moncler Is!!!  (I respectfully put the “New” in the title in quotes being that this french born ski accessory company was founded in 1952 and is by no means “New” to Intl. cold weather gear enthusiasts!) but Moncler has gained significant popularity here in the US in 2011 and is sure to be one of the most coveted luxury-activewear staples from here on! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moncler

Gentleman…all I can say is don’t pass up a chance to visit an official Moncler Boutique!  You will feel that the men’s space will transport you into an AVANTE-GARDE  Aspen, CO winter country club lounge designed just for you with no expense spared!!!

FYI…as with most all of my postings…I’ve waited until the end of the release season so as to acquire the end of season pieces (on sale that is) depicted that I wanted first!  Hence…the live post…LOL   Wink-Wink!
